About the Dukes of Ale |
Our mission:
- Maintain quality in the production of homebrewed beer.
- Promote public awareness and appreciation of the quality and variety of beer through education, research and the collection and dissemination of information.
- Serve as a forum for the technological and cross-cultural aspects of the art of brewing.
- To encourage responsible use of beer as an alcoholic beverage.
Meetings:
We generally meet on the first Tuesday of the month at Marble Brewery, (1st St NW & Marble Ave NW). We try to make the meetings both educational and social, discussing and tasting different styles each month.
Meetings are a great opportunity to learn more about beer styles and to have your beers tasted and evaluated in a semi-formal setting.
Special events:
Special events range from club campouts and potlucks to brewery tours and club brews. We also conduct the judging for the New Mexico State Fair ProAm, evaluating beers brewed by amateurs and commercial breweries. There are other times that club members provide volunteer help at beer festivals.
Membership benefits:
First, by joining you are bound to have a good time and become a better brewer. The club has a library, for instance, where you can borrow brewing related books and periodicals.
Second, you will qualify for discounts on everything from brewing materials to beer.
How to join:
Annual dues are $25. Come to the next club meeting to join.
